Last night, Luis Fernandez appeared on America TeVe’s show A Mano Limpia to discuss the recent arrest of Anthony Sanchez, a director with the Imperial County Irrigation District in California who turned himself in to authorities last Friday after a neighbor videotaped him hitting his stepson with a belt for dropping a baseball during a game of backyard catch.
The neighbor, Oscar Lopez, turned in the video to sheriff’s investigators last week, and Sanchez was arrested on Friday on suspicion of felony child abuse. Sanchez was released after he posted on a $100,000 bail.
Sanchez resigned his elected office several days after the video was posted online.
